Who doesn’t like accidents?
There’s no mistaking that watching something fail spectacularly can be pretty darn funny, even if it’s happening to you.
Of course, sometimes it’s enough to make you cry (especially if the ingredients/supplies are costly!).
Whether tear-worthy or giggle-worthy, we learn from our mistakes and from those of other people. The internet is full of mistakes and helpful (or ‘helpful’) hints, and I’ve learned from them as much as the next person. But I also learn a lot from my family, and from my own attempts. I’ve had a lot of people ask me advice about things, or simply how to do the most random things, because odds are good that if I haven’t done them, I can find out from someone who has.
So I’ve decided to start writing all this stuff down, because why wait until you’ve gone and forgotten half of what you know? And given that my memory is like a sieve, this will certainly be me helping myself out. I’ve got a lot of ambitions, and ideas, and I’m sure a good half of them will turn out badly. But I’m still willing to give things a try, simply to say “Hey, I did that once and it sucked/rocked/tasted like grapes.”
I’m not going to make a checklist of what I want to do, because I find that intimidating. So I’m just going to be my random self and throw things up here when they occur to me to try.
I kind of look forward to any questions that might pop up, or ideas of things for me to try. Because the more complex and time-consuming something is (especially food related), the more likely I am to give it a shot.

P.S. This is not at all a form of procrastination keeping me from finishing my novels. Nope! 🙂
